Can I have my hair highlighted twice? or how long do I have to wait?

I had my hair colored and highlighted yesterday and the girl didnt put enough highlights in my hair. When I got there I told her I wanted more highlights that color like the last time I had it done over a year ago. She said ok she can do that and when my hair was dry she really didnt put enough so now would it be ok to get more put in? I had my hair dyed brown 3 months ago and brown last Aug and a honey color with highlights last April and before that my hair was natural for a couple of years. My hair is healthy now and it grows fast. So should I wait or not?
