What are the consequences of removing the first two mandibular bicuspids?

I have an underbite and I'm trying to fix it non-surgically. My orthodontist recommends me that my bottom two first bicuspids to be removed. I have heard of people removing four of their bicuspids but not two. I have had braces for nearly two years now, my teeth are perfectly aligned but i still have an underbite. Would my appearance look normal? Will the teeth in front of the bicuspids be pulled back to compensate for the gap?
